I heard a cover of this great Fogerty song the other day on the radio from an artist by the name of "Queen Ida". She plays the accordion & sings
in her own zydeco band. I did not think that her version sounded like what most of us think of as zydeco music. To me it sounded like a blend of many styles.
There was quite a bit of sax on it & it was more audible as opposed to the CCR version. Anyway, it was pretty good. I looked on youtube for a video, but
could not find one. Has anyone ever heard this version or has anyone ever heard of Queen Ida?

No Cliff,
but I will comment that I have never heard John Fogerty play MOLINA in concert. It'd be cool if he did...that song is a rocker!!!! |

I saw her in Long Beach at a Cajun Zydeco festival a few years back and she did "Bad Moon Rising" and "Molina". It was quite a treat and
she put on a very good show.

There was quite a bit of sax on it & it was more audible as opposed to the CCR version. The CCR version has two sax solos, and fills from the second verse out. What version are you listening to? JC

I was listening to a classic rock station a few years ago, and they were broadcasting live outside of an open-air venue where Creedence Clearwater Revisited
was going to play that night. While the DJ was talking, I could hear some of the afternoon sound-check, and I'm pretty sure they were playing
"Molina".
Do any Revisited fans know if they play that song in their concerts?? -- HBB |

Well it is probably Gunner on funky organ but Molina is a bass player/ drummer song anyway, listen to those tandem boys rockin through, no problemos at all.
Good lord, those boys could play. I think

I like Molina, but I like Chameleon better. Doug's drumming - especially the intro - is perfect, at least to my ears. |
