Finally after so many years, I think others are beginning to realize what a tremendous talent John is and the totally unbelievable impact he has had throughout so many years with the catalog of original songs he has written and recorded and the number of cover songs he has recorded and performed and really made them his own. John in Vegas with a regular on going gig....yeah, definitely a winner all the way around. John would not fall into the catalog of "Vegas" act I don't think any more than what Celine did. She was a headline act night after night with no negative impact at all. John Fogerty's name in lights at one of the major Vegas resorts where folks from all over the world travel to year round would do nothing but add to his place in music history and call attention to his songs, his music. Thanks to USA Today and including a well deserved John Fogerty in the mix!!!!!!! Darlene

YES!! It is wonderful of USA Today and Pollstar editor Gary Bongiovanni (who apparently provided the list of names) to feature John among the elite group of artists who could consistently "fill the room" in Vegas (although I don't think he would ever consider becoming a "Vegas act"). It is always great to see media people giving John the recognition that he really deserves as one of the premier musicians of our time. THANK YOU USA TODAY!!! Dana

Suffice to say, it's good that everyone is paying attention to John's musical success and his rock legacy. If John wanted to do a Vegas Stint, it'd be easier on him than touring and he'd have the sound kinks worked out - for serious. Fans would come out to see John Fogerty & Band and it would be very easy on him and everyone to be in one place - for a limited time. Of couse, we all know he's got that travelin' bone. I think American Idol should bring John on with all his wonderful old and new songs. The contestants today sing "Proud Mary" from time to time, but can't ya'll imagine some of the newbies singing some of John's great songs, like "Born on the Bayou" "Green River" "Susie Q" "Fortunate Son" "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" "Who'll Stop the Rain?" "Long As I Can See the Light" "Run Through the Jungle" "Hey Tonight" "Rock and Roll Girls" "Rockin All Over the World" "Broken Down Cowboy" "Southern Streamline" et. al. I could go on and on, but some of his songs would be way too rough on them poor underlings. Anyhow - - - - thanks for tellin us about the USA Today article. *Post it, anyone?*

I asked my husband to buy it, but it was too late in the day. The newspaper vending machine was empty! In a way, I would not like JCF to become a Vegas act. Isn't that what CCR promised they would never do?

I talked to him about John for about 10 minute. Finally i gave him a copy of Revival he was so touch. I think alot of people get Dan Folgoberg passing confused with John because of the last name. Anyways now this clerk knows John is touring and coming to Santa Barbara May 4. Thanks, Bayou Ed

I think you are right with folks getting him and Fogelberg mixed up. Even sometimes when I check the CD/record racks they are mixed together. Of course, I help the store out and straighten that right up!! Anyway, I made a mistake in starting the new thread. Thought I was responding to the original post. Sorry..... In any case, if someone would like a copy of the USA article mailed to them, just shoot me an email with your address and I'll be happy to oblige.
